Privacy Policy

Effective: August 14, 2025

Last Updated: August 14, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how JB Wealth Advisors, LLC (“JBW,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with jbwealthadvisors.com and related online services (the “Site”). We operate as an SEC‑registered Internet Investment Adviser. Our investment advice is delivered solely through our website by an automated asset‑allocation assessment; we do not provide in‑person or individualized advice, manage portfolios, place trades, or custody assets. We may, at a user’s request, introduce users to unaffiliated registered investment advisers (“Participating Advisers”).

Use of the Site constitutes your acceptance of this Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. This Policy applies only to our Site and not to Participating Advisers or other third parties.
1) Introduction

JBW’s services consist of (i) providing an automated Retirement Asset Allocation Score for educational purposes and (ii) optional referrals to unaffiliated Participating Advisers upon your request. Advice via our tool is produced algorithmically and is not individualized to your circumstances beyond the inputs you provide. We may receive marketing/referral fees from Participating Advisers for qualified introductions; you will never be billed by JBW for advisory or referral fees.

2) What Personal Information We Collect and From Where We Get It
We collect information in two primary flows:

A. “Score” flow (automated assessment).

  • Identifiers & contact: name and email (to deliver your PDF).
  • Demographic input: age (used by the assessment).
  • Device/usage data: IP address, timestamps, URL, cookies/SDK events, session or user IDs, and similar technical data.
  • Outputs & inferences: your percentage allocations (risk‑off/risk‑on), suggested asset types, and a PDF report we generate and email automatically.

B. “Referral” flow (optional, user‑initiated).

Only if you choose to be introduced to a Participating Adviser, we collect the information you submit on the referral form—e.g., phone number, state and postal code, investment account value range, where assets are currently held, account type(s), and a free‑text description to help with the match.

Sources. We collect information directly from you, automatically from your devices, and (after you opt in for an introduction) we may receive updates from Participating Advisers about the status of your introduction. We may also use hosting, analytics, CRM, and cloud vendors to collect or process data on our behalf (see “Sharing & Disclosure”).

What we do not collect. We do not request or store government IDs (e.g., SSN), financial account numbers, or your log‑in credentials for any financial institution. (If you become a client of a Participating Adviser, their separate privacy practices will apply.)

3) How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  1. Provide the automated Score. Run the assessment, generate your PDF, email it to you, and maintain technical logs and audit trails that demonstrate web‑based delivery only.
  2. Operate and secure the Site. Including hosting, debugging, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
  3. Communicate with you. Send transactional emails (e.g., delivering the Score PDF or confirming a referral request). JBW does not send marketing emails.
  4. Facilitate introductions. If you opt in, share your referral details with one or more Participating Advisers so they can contact you.
  5. Comply with law and enforce terms. Including SEC recordkeeping and responding to lawful requests.
Automated assessment details. The assessment uses a Rule‑of‑110 calculation (lower‑risk allocation = 110 – age; remainder to higher‑risk), accepts only age as an input, and generates general, educational output; users can re‑run it by re‑submitting inputs. No human provides advice through this process.
4) Our Basis for Processing
We process personal information (a) with your consent (e.g., to run the Score or make a referral), (b) as necessary to provide the Site and enforce our terms, (c) for our legitimate interests in operating and securing our services, and (d) to comply with legal obligations (e.g., SEC recordkeeping).
5) Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information

We share information as follows:

  • Service providers/contractors. We use vendors to host the Site and process data, including WP Engine, Go High Level (and its sub‑processors such as Google Cloud Services and AWS), Google Drive, email/CRM tools, and analytics/ads providers (e.g., Google Analytics/Tag, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, and similar technologies). These providers are contractually limited to using data to perform services for us.
  • Participating Advisers (at your direction). If you opt in to a referral, we share the referral details you submit with one or more Participating Advisers so they can contact you about their services and determine suitability. JBW does not charge you for referrals and is compensated by Participating Advisers only if you later establish an advisory relationship with them, per written agreements.
  • Legal, compliance, and safety. To comply with law or valid process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Corporate transactions. In connection with mergers, financing, or similar events.

“Sale”/“Sharing” under California law. Our use of advertising and analytics cookies or pixels may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (cross‑context behavioral advertising). We post a conspicuous “Do Not Sell My Info” link in our website footer that leads to our Notice of Right to Opt‑Out of Sale/Sharing page and interactive opt‑out form. You may also submit an opt‑out by emailing privacy@jbwealthadvisors.com. We treat introductions to Participating Advisers as disclosures at your direction (not a sale or sharing) because we share your referral details only after you request a referral. We do not knowingly sell personal information of consumers under 16. We will comply with opt‑out requests as soon as feasible and no later than 15 business days, and we will direct relevant third parties to honor your choice.

We do not knowingly “sell” the personal information of individuals under 16.
6)  International Transfers
The Site is intended for U.S. residents. We may send your personal information outside the jurisdiction from which it originated or was collected. Where personal information is transferred or accessed outside of a specific jurisdiction, we require that appropriate safeguards are in place to comply with any applicable data protection regulations.
7) Your Choices
  • Score only vs. referral. You can obtain a Score without requesting a referral. If you request a referral, you authorize us to share your referral details with Participating Advisers so they may contact you by phone, email, or SMS. JBW itself does not market to you by email or SMS.
  • Emails. Transactional emails are required to deliver your Score or confirm your request.
  • Cookies & tracking. See our Cookies Policy for how to control cookies at the browser level. If you wish to opt out of “sale”/“sharing” related to ad/analytics cookies, email privacy@jbwealthadvisors.com as described above.
  • Opt‑out of sale/sharing (ads & analytics). Use the “Do Not Sell My Info” link in our footer to access our opt‑out page and form, or email privacy@jbwealthadvisors.com. Where required by law, we also honor opt‑out preference signals (e.g., Global Privacy Control) that our systems detect.
8) Retention and Destruction of Personal Information
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law, including applicable SEC recordkeeping obligations, and then delete or de-identify it consistent with our data retention rules.
9) Security
We employ commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, and we limit access to personnel and service providers with a need to know. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10) Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11) Links to Other Sites
Our Site may link to third‑party websites, plug‑ins, or services (including Participating Advisers). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies.
12) Third‑Party Tracking; “Do Not Track”
We use third‑party advertising and analytics services that collect information about your use of the Site over time and across non‑affiliated websites. You can opt‑out of the sale/sharing of personal information related to these technologies via the “Do Not Sell My Info” link in our footer (see Section 13 below). We do process opt‑out preference signals where required by California law (e.g., Global Privacy Control). The Site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
13) U.S. State Privacy Notices — California
Notice at Collection. We collect the categories of personal information listed below for the purposes described in Section 3, from the sources in Section 2, and we retain them for as long as needed to provide the services and meet legal obligations (see Section 8). California residents have the rights described under “Your California Privacy Rights” below.

16)  State‑Specific Disclosures for Participants Referred to Advisers.
If you choose to be introduced to a Participating Adviser, that firm is an independent registered investment adviser with its own privacy notices, email/SMS policies, and regulatory obligations. Your communications with, and any account you open at, a Participating Adviser are governed by that firm’s privacy program, not this Policy.
